UvA Talen is the independent language centre of the University of Amsterdam. We are a leading language service provider, catering to the needs of countless expats from around the globe.
OUR SERVICES:
LANGUAGE TRAINING PROGRAMMES
UvA Talen offers a wide range of language courses for groups as well as private individuals and individual corporate clients. Our standard programme includes courses ranging from absolute beginner to super- advanced level in no fewer than ten different languages! Each year, hundreds of students complete one or more of our courses and are awarded an internationally recognised language proficiency certificate.
Our courses are geared towards highly motivated students who often are well educated already. The lesson materials are dealt with in a fairly high tempo. We work with small groups in order to guarantee optimal interaction with the instructor and fellow students, enabling you to significantly improve your language proficiency level in a very short time.
We also run extensive tailor-made language tuition programmes for private individuals and businesses.
TRANSLATION & EDITORIAL SERVICES
UvA Talen is the preferred translation agency for many major leading companies and organisations in the Netherlands and beyond. We have exclusive contracts with various partners to provide all their translation work.
The difference between an ordinary text and a great one often lies in the details. Making that difference is our speciality. No document leaves UvA Talen unrevised. All our translations are carefully checked and if necessary reworked by one of our team of editors before we send them to our clients. In addition to checking our own translations, we also correct and polish many documents written by our clients.
We also offer copywriting services in various languages. We have ample experience in writing newsletters, press releases and promotional material for a large number of clients.
